2003-2004
Possibly one of the worst seasons experienced by the
club in its history. Why, as far as our First XI was concerned matches
that should have been won were lost, in a winning position in one game,
the playing light was called into question, as a result the game called
off and vital points lost, this was a very decision provoking game as
far as we were concerned, best no more said, and finally the rain which
reared its ugly head on too many occasions affecting games against lower
sides which could have gained us vital points. The depth in the clubs
stocks of players has perhaps at its weakest level ever, thank goodness
for Ryan Lee’s 4th XI who got over the line against all conquering
Carrum Downs in the final. Never expected to win a great team effort
brought at least one premiership home.
