Recent excellent performances from our Juniors -
Under 11's - Keidan Lee 4 wickets for 5 runs off 3 overs in Round 7
against Seaford.
Under 13's - William Hall 34 Retired and Liam O'Brien 24 Retired against
Seaford Tigers in Round 7.
Under 15's - Jayden Lee 8 overs, 4 maidens, 3 wickets for 7 runs. Locky
Scott 8 overs, 2 maidens, 3 wickets for 10 runs.
Nick Bailey 45 Runs. Jayden Lee 50 runs retired not out. Jack McCormack
34 runs all V's Somerville in Round 7.
Under 17's - Grant Paxton 27 runs. Zac Clements 30 runs and 3/27. Todd
Dewhurst 24 runs against Seaford Tigers in Round 7.
Recent Junior performances in Seniors - Jayden Lee 24 runs and 10 overs,
6 maidens, 1 wicket for 14 runs.
Jack McCormack 20 runs and 10 overs, 1 maiden, 2 wickets for 24 runs
in the 4's against French Island.
Jayden Lee 46 runs in the 4's V's Delacombe Park in Round 8.
Todd Dewhurst 26 runs and 9 overs, 2 maidens, 1 wicket for 25 runs in
the 3rds against French Island in Round 8.
Lochy Scott 8 overs, 3 maidens, 1 wicket fro 16 runs in the 2nds against
Mornington in Round 8.

Big Congratulations to William Hall who has been selected in the MPCA
Under 14 team to play a regional trial game this Sunday.

who have been selected for the U12 VMCU Training Squad.
The LICC Junior Committee nominated 12 of our junior players
for upcoming MPCA rep squads.

Harry Bould, Lachlan Christie, Christian Duncan, Liam O'Brien and William
Hall (Under14)
for being selected in the Vic Metro Cricket Union MPCA Training Squads.
In games completed over the weekend our best junior performances
were;
Under 11's - Jack Knight 2/12 and Keidan Lee 2/2 off their two overs.
Keidan Lee 11 Runs (his highest ever score and highest of the match)
and Declan Brasier 10 runs.
Under 13's - Christian Duncan 27, Harry Bould 30, Ryan Groves 3/6 and
Aidan Sheedy 3/0.
Under 15's - Josup Lipavic 27, Jack McCormack 25, Jayden Lee 22,
Under 17's - Zach Clements 32, Riki Seaton-Clark 21 Not Out.
Juniors Playing Seniors - Grant Paxton 3/33 in the 3rd's and Jack McCormack
38 in the 4's.
Well done to all our Juniors and lets hope the rain starts to stay away

We will be giving out some Junior Awards
from the first few weeks on Saturday at the family day.
So get down to the club with your familiy as soon as you can on Saturday
from 4pm....

In the Under 15's completed on Saturday morning, special mentions to
Jayden Lee, 8 overs, 5 Maidens, 4 Wickets 3 Runs, Lachlan Scott 42 Not
Out.
Our Best Junior performances in Senior Cricket in games completed over
the weekend were, Lochy Scott 5 Overs, 1 maiden, 4/6 in the 6's.
Jack McCormack 31 Not Out First Innings in the 4's. Jayden Lee 41 Not
Out Second Innings in the 4's.

We would like to ask everyone
to do the best they can to speak with all family,
friends and associates and also arrange for any of your children to
speak with their friends etc
to see if we can find another 5 Junior’s for our Under 11 side.
At this stage for the upcoming Junior season we have one full side in
Under 17’s, Under 15’s and Under 13’s.
However we only have 6 players currently registered for Under 11’s.
I would like the support of everyone involved in the club to try and
find an additional
5 or 6 Under 11 players who need to be aged 8 or more an having not
turned 11 prior to 1st September 2011.
Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Those who have not yet officially Registered or paid fees.

for your Junior Playing shirt ASAP.
The initial order for shirts will be made this week and if you miss
this order
you may not have your new playing shirt for the start of the season.

Junior Season will officially start on the 15th October 2011
TRAINING STARTS NEXT WEEK - Under 15's & Under 17's Tuesday
and Thursday from 5PM,
Under 11's and Under 13's will train together initially under Marty
O'Brien from 4.30 PM Wednesday's.
Training at Long Island Cricket Club
Registration Day 6-8 Pm Friday 9th September 2011.
Venue Long Island Cricket Club Clubrooms
- Junior Training will start week commencing Monday 12th September 2011
- Junior players paying fees on Registration night will be given a free
LICC Cap and be allowed to choose
their own number for the back of their playing shirt.
- Junior Fees for 2011-2012 will remain unchanged. $65 for one child.
$80 for 2 children.
- Playing shirts and Training Shorts will be available for purchase.
Size examples will be available on
Registration night for players to try on and orders can be placed on
the night
